Nancy E. Willis D.D.S., B.S.
Highly educated and well trained, Dr. Nancy E. Willis has been providing her patients with exceptional dental care for many years. She attended the University of Akron, graduating magna cum laude with an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Mathematics. She also completed undergraduate cancer research at Northeastern Ohio University's College of Medicine (NEOUCOM) as well as Johns Hopkins University's Department of Pathology. She then attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, and she graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Willis then completed a pediatric dentistry internship at Children's Hospital of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, where she served as Chief Resident.
Before privately practicing, Dr. Willis served as a Captain in the United States Air Force. She was the officer in charge of preventative dentistry, Children's Dental Health Month and dental officers' continuing education. She served in the United States Coast Guard as well.
In 1987, Dr. Willis was an instructor at SUNY – Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. She then taught and practiced at Children's Hospital of Columbus in Columbus, Ohio from 1988 to 1990.
Dr. Willis knows it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of pediatric dentistry in order for her to offer the most advanced treatments. Thus, she maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Scranton District Dental Society.
Dr. Willis is affiliated with two local hospitals to provide hospital dentistry services to those patients who need it. She is affiliated with Regional Hospital of Scranton and Regional Hospital of Scranton Surgery Center. She is also certified in CPR and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to ensure her patients' utmost safety at all times.
In her personal life, Dr. Willis has three wonderful sons. Two of her children play the bagpipes, and one of her sons wants to follow in her footsteps and become a dentist! Along with spending time with her kids, Dr. Willis also enjoys snowshoeing, reading and traveling.
